Pregnancy changes more than your body. It can change how you see yourself, your family, and the life you are building. You deserve care that makes room for all of it.
At Metamorphosis, I take time to know you. We talk through your questions, your hopes, your history, and the choices ahead. I bring my experience as a nurse and midwife to our visits, along with deep respect for your instincts and your authority over your own body.
My approach supports physiologic birth while keeping clinical assessment, informed consent, and shared decision making at the center of care. If a concern calls for another perspective or a higher level of care, I help you connect with the right providers and make a plan together.
What care looks like
Prenatal visits are unhurried.
We check on your health and your baby’s growth, review recommended screening and testing, and make space to talk about nutrition, comfort, emotions, birth, and life with a newborn. There is time for the questions you planned to ask and the ones that come up once we sit down together.
As birth approaches, we prepare for labor, talk through your preferences, and discuss what might change the plan. During labor, my role is to offer skilled care, steady support, and clear information so you can participate in decisions as they arise.
Care continues after birth. Postpartum visits give us time to tend to your recovery, your baby’s wellbeing, feeding, and the enormous adjustment of becoming a family or welcoming another child.
Traditional Midwifery &
Modern Tools
My care is rooted in a lineage of traditional midwifery, with its herbal knowledge, hands-on therapies, and deep attention to the birthing family. I also bring more than 20 years of nursing experience, along with clinical assessment, pharmaceutical medicines, medical equipment, and relationships with other healthcare providers.
At Metamorphosis, these ways of caring belong together. I value what generations of midwives have taught us while remaining open to tools that help us recognize concerns and respond when care needs to change. I’ll talk through the options with you, listen to what matters to you, and make decisions together with your wellbeing and your baby’s wellbeing in view.
Home Birth &
Collaborative Care
For families planning a home birth, I offer comprehensive prenatal, birth, newborn, and postpartum care in collaboration with the Community Birth & Wellness team.
I also welcome conversations about VBAC, breech presentation, and pregnancies that may benefit from collaborative care with an OB or maternal fetal medicine specialist. A consultation gives us time to explore your individual circumstances, talk about your options, and decide whether my care is the right fit.
Home Birth Care and Fees
The comprehensive home birth care package is $6,500.
It includes prenatal care, on-call availability for your birth, labor and birth attendance, and newborn and postpartum care. During your consultation, we'll walk through exactly what is included, any additional costs, and your payment options.
Metamorphosis Midwifery & Wellness and Community Birth & Wellness are out-of-network with insurance plans. We work with an insurance biller through Midwives Advantage, who can help you understand your potential benefits and submit claims for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement depends on your individual plan and is not guaranteed.
I also offer a sliding scale. I do not want finances to stand between you and the birth you hope for.
